When we say we believe in offering you a lifetime of dental health, we really mean it. The caring, friendly team in our office enjoys one another, our patients, and our jobs so much that many members have worked here for twenty years or better. Patients enjoy our practice’s friendly atmosphere, but they also appreciate the degree of training and level of care our team offers. Seeing the same smiling faces, and receiving treatment from familiar and gentle hands year after year, lends a dimension of care that we believe is important for our patients.

Getting to know our patients is a pleasure, and it’s our privilege to provide dental care designed specifically for each person in our care. You may be surprised that we will remember your case in detail, but that’s just part of our commitment to you. We may comment on improvements in your dental health or ask how you’re adjusting to a new oral appliance.

As lifelong learners, we attend training and seminars, and we follow much of what Dr. Caffaratti and Dr. Escobar study in their continued exploration of dentistry. We do this not only to provide optimal care, but also so we can pass along our knowledge to you.

Frank D. Caffaratti, DDS

Born in Oroville, California, Frank Caffaratti moved to Reno as a young man. His father was one of the first physicians in Fallon, Nevada. After graduating from Sparks High School in 1973, Frank Caffaratti attended the University of Nevada – Reno where he received his bachelor’s degree in medical science and biology. He subsequently attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California, where he received is DDS in 1981. That same year, he returned to Sparks to start his private practice.

Even though his college days are behind him, Dr. Caffaratti continues to study the latest changes and advances in dentistry. He has attended some of the most prominent dental institutions in the country, studying a wide spectrum of cosmetic and restorative specialties, and he is a graduate of the prestigious Misch Institute. Dr. Caffaratti and is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Nevada Dental Association, the Northern Nevada Dental Association, and the World Laser Clinical Institute. He is a member of ICOI and the Academy of General Dentistry. He also belongs to a variety of study clubs.

Outside of the office, Dr. Caffaratti enjoys spending time with his daughter Melissa and his pointing dogs, Jack and Annie, chasing the elusive chukar that Nevada has to offer. He also likes hunting, fishing, trapshooting, skiing, and riding motorcycles. Dr. C also enjoys smalltime ranching with his horses, livestock, and hay production. He is an ardent fan and supporter of our local Wolfpack football team.

Dr. Eric Escobar, DDS

A Reno native, Dr. Eric Escobar graduated from McQueen High School and then attended the University of Nevada, Reno. While attending UNR, he was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society. Dr. Escobar graduated with distinction, earning a health science major and a minor in chemistry. He received his degree in dental surgery form the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and remains a devout Michigan football fan. Go Blue!!!
After graduation, he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he worked for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Dental School. He practiced there and was a part-time instructor.

In June of 2005, Dr. Escobar moved back home to be near his family and friends in the Reno/Sparks area. Soon after returning, he joined Dr. Frank Caffaratti’s practice. Dr. Escobar looks forward to establishing his practice here in Sparks. His main focus is family dental health.

Dr. Escobar is fluent in Spanish and welcomes new patients, as well as emergency cases. He’s a member of the ADA, the NDA, the NNDA, and the Reno Tahoe Study Club. He holds laser certification and is also certified by the Nevada and Northeast Regional Board.
